 So, another new Magic expansion is on the horizon, and dear old me is doing another article. I know what many of you are saying; "What is he bitching about this time that none of us care about?" In truth, it's something that some of you may actually care about. Many of you in the GTA, you can officially ignore this rant now.
|

So, we're on the cusp of yet another expansion. The last before we get to the streamlined, and mythic Shards of Alara. Now, we get to figure out just what WotC was doing this time, and I'll add my own unique flavour to the proceedings.
|
Yes, another Prerelease is on the horizon, with another new block starting up, and quite frankly, I'm excited this time. The sun has set on Lorwyn, and now, to borrow from an unfinished Invader ZIM episode, it's the Day of da Spookies.

Is it just me, or is this getting plain ridiculous? Wizards has done many things to earn my criticism in the past, but the last two sets have proven to have brought out problems in the design (or is that development, *shrug*) of cards lately. I mean, the power level has been creeping up in recent years, and that hasn't been relatively bad, as the environment has kept all of this nonsense in check.

So here we have it, brand new set. Some of you, are wondering what gem will be revealed in Standard, and/or Extended, or heck, any other Constructed format...
|
|
I can't think of a better time of year, the Stanley Cup Playoffs are in full swing, with more than its fair share of surprises. Spring is coming so the rest of you can get out of hibernation mode, and look forward to the summer (I will curse, but that's me,) and the latest Magic expansion is upon us.
|
|
I know that we're some three weeks away from the pre-release for Time Spiral, and that everyone's getting excited about the vast plethora of mechanics that will be coming back. However, it isn't the mechanics that are coming back that I'm excited about.
|
|
I suppose I'll give this another chance, and do a LIMITED review of Coldsnap, as in my opinion, the set looks quite bad as far as Constructed goes.
|
Before any one says it, yes it is.

Now comes the crux of the review. The remaining almost third of the set, and it is devoted entirely to the guilds themselves.
